Privacy Policy
I believe in a free internet for everyone. An internet without being tracked, monitored and your data being sold to third parties in order to make a quick buck.
Your information, your web history, your preferences, your GPS location, what device you have, what apps you have installed, your shopping habits are all things that are nobody's business but your own.
In line with this belief, I don't collect data on anything personal relating to you outside of using this website. What you do outside this website is frankly none of my business, nor should it be - I also couldn't care less.
As soon as you're fed up with the website just delete your account (found in the Account page) and all your data is auto wiped forever with no way to retrieve it.
(WARNING: I have no way to restore your account if you delete it and change your mind; I'm not like other sites who say they will delete your account but really just place it on hold)
What data is stored?
As mentioned above, I do not track your usage, habits, history, GPS location or other personal data not related to our website, but I do collect a small amount of strictly necessary data that allows you to use the website (hence why you won't have to click Accept/Reject on GDPR cookie windows every time you visit the site).
Email address - Enables you to set up an account and login
Nationality - Adds you into National League rankings
NOTE: as of January 2025 National rankings have been temporarily disabled due to the addition of multiple competitions
Name - So your friends in your private leagues can see who you are - this is auto hidden to anyone not in your private leagues
Membership of private leagues - Adds you into your league tables with friends
Your predictions - pretty stupid of me not to store this but full transparency and all that jazz
Site Actions - neccessary information (login times, predictions submissions, movements between some pages, etc.) are tracked so that I can troubleshoot problems anyone runs into
Other than the above I don't track or save any other information. I will keep my nose where it belongs - on this website and not in your personal life.
Adverts and Third Parties
No ads because ads are crap and nobody likes them.
I tried adding some non-personalised ads in 2022 to help cover the costs of the website but they just annoyed me so the were removed after a week.
Since this approach results in no revenue and I still have to pay for hosting/domains/ssl licences, if you are feeling extra generous then you can donate towards the development, upkeep and general day to day operations of the website in the donations section at the bottom of this page.
Donations and Support
Although the website has underlying financial costs that are paid for from my own pocket, the biggest cost of all is the time spent developing it, maintaining it and improving it. This is time spent away from family and friends in my evenings and at weekends. This is time spent arguing with my better half to try get a few hours to make a change to the "bloody website" when it is sunny outside and I should be going out for a nice family walk.
With the stance against trying to monitise users data resulting in zero ad revenue, if anyone would like to donate towards helping fund the website, you can do so below.
